The Dance of Self Re-Creation: Moving Beyond the Tyranny of
New Year’s Resolutions
Date: Three consecutive Mondays - January 4th, 11th, and 18th, 2010
Time: 5:30 p.m. Pacific / 8:30 p.m. Eastern
Duration: 90 minutes each class
Do you approach the beginning of the new year with high hopes and rigorous expectations for yourself? Do you set lofty and then struggle to stick to them? Do you long for that sure-fire way of getting your act together, once and for all? Does all or nothing thinking sabotage your big plans? Have you blown your resolutions so many times that you either avoid them like the plague or make them with dread and secret knowing that you are doomed from the outset?
If you want out of this non-productive and hurtful cycle, then come play with us! We will offer you powerful perspectives and dynamite tools for:
- Getting out of black and white, all or nothing thinking
- Leaving the predator/critic’s guilt, shame and hopelessness behind
- Embracing your need to re-create yourself with love and compassion
- Blowing up worn out, judgment-based, puritanical perspectives on discipline
